Part 2

Posted in: Blog

………………..No luck on stand bye – spend the night at the hilton @ L A X
- I’m draggin ass – pass the bar and see nothing but desperate and lonley people – nothing but trouble being served……….two for one – jetlag – finally lie down to be wide awake – 4 pm I take out frustration on the iron as the 24 hour gym makes this 275 dollar last minute room worth every penny – floating in the pool at 5 30 a m listening to the sound of the first L A X flights leaving runway # 2 – I’m thinking back to my first visit to new zealand resulting in a platinum record – that very moment a huge crowe flies above me as a shadow against the grey unlit sky – wow, blackcrowes indeed – that reminds of sophia coppolla staring in one of our videos for the southern harmony record – floating in this predawn pool is sureal in a way only sophia could capture on film…………………………………its all a little lost in this translation

Fone has to be turned off

My plane is leaving

{{{Johnny}}} Sorry to hear you had trouble with your flights and connections, man. Hope you’re safely underway, now. I know what it’s like being away from family and just wanting to get *home.* I was hoping you were already back in your own stomping grounds when I saw something was up over at your ’space and headed over here.

I’m glad you found a positive and physically engaging way to work out your frustrations until the travel arrangements untangled themselves, again. I feel for ya, man. All the in between bits aren’t *quite* as glamorous as rockin’ the stage in front of an energized crowd, are they? Still, the upside is very ‘up’ and you do have one of the coolest ‘jobs’ on the planet. ;-)

Here are some random, ramblin’ feathery thoughts as distractions until you’re back at your roost… I’ve always liked crows and ravens, especially Odin’s messengers Huginn (“thought”) and Muninn (“memory”) from Norse mythology. My thoughts and wishes go out to you that your memories of Kiwi gold will tide you over until you’re safely back in the arms of your loved ones, again. And, although I’m technically an Owl, ^^ I do have that Crow part of my soul that loves shiny things (and “shiny happy people”. :-) )

Must admit, “Lost In Translation” is one movie that I didn’t move past the first word of the title on. ^^ I dig Francis Ford Coppola’s films and Nick Cage is a talented actor. Sofia… has talented relatives and an Oscar. ;-) She’s doing just fine as part of the Coppola Dynasty. LOL

Hope you’re finally home and can relax and unwind with your peeps. {{{Johnny and family}}} Sending hugs, love and good thoughts out to y’all. :-)
