He`s So Original - Johnny Colt is an eco challenger.

he`s so original

Johnny Colt is an eco challenger.

Former Black Crowes rocker, songwriter for Train, Atlanta native and unlikely green poster boy, Johnny is now trading his gas guzzling ’89 Ram Charger for a Mercedes diesel. This is the result of spending the summer duking it out on Battleground Earth, an eco-challenge show premiering this month on Planet Green with rock icon Tommy Lee and hip hop star Chris “Ludacris” Bridges. Musicians turned game show participants, they are on two teams who face off, while gaining knowledge about environmental issues like learning how to run their motorcycles and tour bus on cooking grease. In another episode they glean eco lessons from the medieval times. Locally, Johnny owns the E Group, an energy efficient consulting firm that works towards eco-friendly real estate development. “For better or worse, I stopped taking myself so seriously after having a camera in my face,” he says. “I left my dignity around day 10 or 11.”

What do you like about wearing a skirt?: “A little cross dressing is super sexy. I felt kinda hot. I’ll put a dress on any day.”

What do you like about reading skirt!: “Nothing is sexier than an empowered female, and that’s what you promote. Really empowered females are hard to find.”

I suppose you didn’t use the “I loves me a wench” line on *this* ‘empowered’ crowd. ;-P There is a time and place for everything–including pirates. Arrrr… ^^ LOL

Now *that’s* a foto… It’s the color-coordinated sneakers that *make* that outfit. ^^ Much more sensible than *heels.* ;-P You’re welcome to the skirts and dresses… I’ve never found them to be particularly functional. Of course, they’re not really built for Owls. ^^ All’s fair in rock, style n’ fashion. ;-) I’m a fifth of Scotch ;-) in terms of ancestry, too, so I’m used to brawny, strappin’ lads in kilts. ^^ I appreciate guys that are confident enough in their masculinity to be able to relax and have some fun. :-)

Your E Group is awesome… I love the projects you lads develop and the mission statements/concepts behind them.

Diesel… So many people converted over to that, then the companies raised the price of it up above oil. I figure something similar will happen to the price of electricity if everyone converts to electric cars. But, the more the price of oil rises, the more folks tinker in their garages and come up with eco-friendly alternatives. What the world has to *stop* doing, though, is using corn and edible grains for biofuels… especially when it takes more than one gallon of oil to produce a gallon of ethanol. Some things do make sense in certain parts of the world, like using the leftover waste products from sugarcane to make biofuel. I’m interested in hydrogen fuel cells and technologies like that.
